August E. Wilder

August Edward Wilder, son of Loretta Bernice (Bailey) Wilder and the late Daney “Boone” Wilder was born November 13, 1945 in Ellsinore, Missouri and departed this life April 9, 2012 at his residence in Ellsinore, Missouri with his family by his side. He had attained the age of sixty-six years, four months and twenty-six days. Mr. Wilder had lived most of his life in Ellsinore and was a self-employed welder and sawmill worker. He loved to discuss God and spirituality, traveling, going to view mountains, going on walks, reading, metal crafting, with which he was a skilled metal worker. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. On August 15, 1964 he was united in marriage to Linda Louise Wallace in Ellsinore, Missouri. Survivors include his wife, Linda Wilder of Ellsinore; his mother, Loretta Wilder of Ellsinore; two sons, Kevin Wilder and his wife, Tara and Jeremiah Wilder all of Ellsinore; one daughter, Tonya Freeze and husband, Quintin of Ellsinore; eight grandchildren, Derek, Brittany, Kaylea, Alicia, Jake, Addy, Zeke and Jazalyn; one great-grandchild, Aden; three brothers, Tom Wilder, Frank Wilder and James Wilder; two sisters, Evelyn Price and Irene Ford and many other relatives and friends who mourn his passing. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Bennie Wilder and one sister, Barbara Coleman.

A visitation for the public will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012 in the McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellsinore, Missouri with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery, Rev. William McDowell will officiate.
